Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) accredited Legend College of Health Sciences and Technology (LECOHSTECH), Ikirun.

 

On Monday 29th of September, 2025, another chapter was opened in the academic history of the college when the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) gave the college a nod to operate the Department of Medical X-ray Technician and Imaging Processing.



The board, led by its Secretary to the Board, Dr Malarchy Ejimofor, moved round the college premises to inspect the members of staff, structures, and the facilities installed for the training of students.

Dr. Ejimofor greatly commended the school and said  the tempo should be steadily sustained. He encouraged stakeholders in the Southwest to endeavour to train more students in radiography because we have a shortage of experts in this field in the region. According to him, what this implies is that graduates of this department will not have a problem getting a job. 



In his reaction, the Ag. Provost of the college, Dr. Moshood Yusuff promised to improve on what is on the ground to move the institution to the next level.



Also, in his response, the Chairman of the Governing Board of the college Professor Yaqub Fabiyi acknowledged the effort of the board for ensuring quality in term of infrastructure. He thereby pleaded with the board to recognize the efforts of private individuals' contributions to the development of health sector despite difficult financial situation.



 In his remark, the Vice-Chairman of the Governing Board of the college Professor Sunday Owolabi pledged that the college has taken note  of all the observations and reports of the board and that all the necessary amendment will be effected.



Also, in attendance were the Proprietor of the college Pharmacist Jubril Adeyemi, the Ag.  Deputy Provost Academics of the college Dr. Tunde Lawal the Ag.Registrar Mr I. J Alimi, the Ag. Bursar Mrs. Rasheed Sakira, the Head of Department of X-ray Mr. J.  Fredrick, the Head of the Department of Public Health Mr S. O Odewale. All other members of staff of the institution were fully on ground for the success of the accreditation exercise.
